Down by the Glenside (The Bold Fenian Men)

This song was written by the Irish Republican and composer Paedar Kearney (1883-1942). He was a member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood (“the Fenians”) and a co-founder of the Irish Volunteers, and he wrote this song about the freedom fighters around the time of the 1916 Rising. The video is by the Holohan Sisters, Jane and Jenny.
